Circostrada welcomes seven new members, from Antwerp to Waterford

Circostrada, the European network for contemporary circus and outdoor arts, has welcomed seven new member organisations: MAD Festival (Antwerp, Belgium), PATEA (Bilbao, Spain), Cluster Arts Global (Chermside, Australia), Freedom Festival Arts Trust (Hull, UK), Jacksons Lane (London, UK), SPRAOI (Waterford, Ireland), and Proculture Society Association / 6Fest Street Arts Festival (Bulgaria).

Four of the seven are festivals themselves, by name: MAD Festival, Freedom Festival Arts Trust, SPRAOI, and 6Fest Street Arts Festival. PATEA's full name, asociación de profesionales de artes de calle, marks it as a professional association rather than a single event. Jacksons Lane is the one dedicated circus venue in the group, giving Circostrada a fresh presence inside London specifically, not just the UK in general.

For circus and outdoor-arts professionals, a new member is rarely just an administrative update. Each one is a potential presenter, touring partner or local point of contact in a country or city the network may not have reached as directly before.
