12 weeks to turn an arts business idea into a prototype, for teams of 18- to 35-year-olds living in Québec
If you're 18 to 35, live in Québec and have an idea for a business or a project that serves the arts, Noublood is a 12-week course to build it with a team. It's run by Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montréal Centre-Ville (CJE), with two arts councils: the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) and Québec's, the CALQ.
Applications are open until 20 November 2026.
The course runs part-time from 15 January to 8 April 2027, in 16 workshops on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. You follow it by video call or in person at CJE's offices on Sainte-Catherine Street West in Montréal, and you're expected to work on the project between sessions. No absences are accepted.
The weeks move from your value proposition and market research to a business model, digital discoverability and pitching, philanthropy and accounting, legal structures and wellbeing. It ends with the Noublood Finale on 8 April.
Participants recognised by the CALQ, which assesses you from your artistic CV, get a $3,500 grant for their prototype. Others can get grants from CJE and the CAM for taking part and for the prototype, in amounts that aren't published. Coaching sessions are part of it too.
