A week of quiet in a house by the North Sea, for members of the Danish artists' union, with 8 weeks to share in 2027
If you're a member of Dansk Artist Forbund, the Danish artists' union, you can apply for a week in 2027 at Lille Skiveren, to work or to recharge. It's a big house behind the dunes at Tannis Bugt, on the Skagerrak.
Applications close on Sunday 15 November 2026.
The house sleeps 10, with 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a big kitchen and 2 studios. There's wifi and an untuned piano, and no washing machine. Every window looks out on nature.
It was once the home of Jens Otto Krag, a well-known Danish politician, and was renovated in 2010.
Concretely, the week costs DKK 3,000, paid two months ahead. Stays run Friday to Friday.
The union shares the house with other artists' organisations and has it for 8 weeks in 2027: weeks 6, 10, 18, 24, 33, 39, 42 and 44. Members whose last stay was longest ago get first pick, and if two people want the same week, it's drawn by lot. Everyone hears back about 3 weeks after the deadline.
- ·Members of Dansk Artist Forbund only.
- ·The stay is for work or inspiration, and the union doesn't set a discipline.
