Unlimited opens eleven Partner Awards for disabled artists, worth £280,000 between them.

Unlimited has opened its 2026/27 Partner Awards: eleven awards totalling £280,000 across England, Scotland and Wales. Individual awards range from £15,000 to £40,000.

What the money covers is unusually wide. The awards back the creation of new work across theatre, performance, digital media, music and visual arts, and they fund it at any point from research and development through to presentation and touring.

To apply you need to be a disabled artist, or a disabled artist leading the creation of work within a disabled-led company. You also need to be based in England, Scotland or Wales, aged 18 or over, and not in full-time education.

Northern Ireland is not on that list, which is worth checking before you spend time on an application. The awards are funded by Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, and the National Lottery through Creative Scotland.

Each award is jointly funded by Unlimited and a partner organisation. Unlimited says those partners co-fund the work, provide in-kind support, and champion the artists they commission, so what you get is not only the money.

Application information is published in audio, British Sign Language, Easy Read and large print, with Scottish Gaelic for artists in Scotland and Welsh for artists in Wales. The deadline is midday on Monday 28 September 2026.
