Cirque du Soleil's first permanent show in Europe passes 500,000 tickets and stays in Berlin to the end of 2027
ALIZÉ, Cirque du Soleil's first permanent show in Europe, has sold more than 500,000 tickets in Berlin, according to a press release from Live Nation reported by Pollstar. Live Nation, which produces the show, has added dates to the end of 2027.
It opened at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in November 2025, so that's half a million tickets in less than a year. Until ALIZÉ, Cirque du Soleil came to Germany on tour: 16 productions under the big top or in arenas, in 16 German cities, since Saltimbanco in 1995.
So what is on stage? The show is directed by Valentine Losseau and Raphaël Navarro of Compagnie 14:20, who are also credited as its magic designers. Cirque du Soleil presents their work as magie nouvelle, "the new magic art form", and calls the result Acromagic, built on invisibility, levitation and holographic technology.
The cast is 43 artists from 21 countries. Pollstar reports that adapting the theatre to the production took almost three months and more than 60 technicians.
Cirque du Soleil made it in its creative studios in Montréal before moving it to Berlin, and has a 40-minute documentary that follows the creation.
Concretely, ALIZÉ turns one this November. Live Nation says it has something planned for that first anniversary. It hasn't said what.
