Cirkus Cirkör has announced its next production, HOPE in MOTION, and is looking for venues and presenters to host it. The show premieres in Sweden in June 2027, in Eskilstuna, tours from that month, and has its international premiere in Lublin, Poland, in October 2027. Cirkör hasn't given exact dates for any stop yet.

On stage there are six circus artists and one live musician. Cirkör describes the show as one about hope in our time and about our ability to shape the future. It draws on folk tales and present-day stories, with new music played live and moving scenery.

The concept and dramaturgy are by Marie-Andrée Robitaille. She trained in dance at the École de Danse de Québec and in circus at the École nationale de cirque in Montréal, and since 1998 she has worked as a performer, choreographer, director and producer, including with Cirkör. In 2024 she defended a doctorate at Stockholm University of the Arts titled "Circus as Practices of Hope: A Philosophy of Circus".

So what happens before the premiere? From January to April 2027, the show plays in a "Special Edition" format in Eskilstuna, Botkyrka and Umeå. Cirkör says the work keeps developing there, and each presentation is a version made for that venue.

The six artists cover aerial acrobatics, contortion, Cyr wheel, acrobatic bike, rope, hula hoop, flying pole, trampoline and trampwall. The musician is LIHLA. Saara Ahola, Jesper Nikolajeff and Alexander Weibel Weibel direct.

Concretely, for a presenter: the show runs 60 to 75 minutes with no interval, is recommended from age 7, and tours with 12 people. The booking contact is on Cirkör's production page. The co-producers are Eskilstuna's culture and leisure department, the Sztukmistrze Foundation in Poland and Lublin's programme as European Capital of Culture in 2029.
