Circa says its show Wolf has passed 350 performances since its world premiere in Berlin in August 2024 — a run of just under two years that's kept the show in constant rotation since it opened.

Performers Christina Zauner, Holly-Rose Boyer and Sam Letch describe the show as built on "pure push" and heavy improvisation, with performers playing themselves "but feral." That's not incidental to the show's structure — it's the reason no two performances are meant to be the same, closer to a live improvisation than a fixed sequence repeated every night.

The creation question, worked out during development in Brisbane, was finding each performer's own "inner wolf" rather than staging a shared, generic pack dynamic. Nearly two years and hundreds of shows later, that figure comes from Circa's own count, not an independently published tally — but it puts Wolf among the company's most-performed recent works.
