The second Convention Internationale de Trapèze Volant runs 7 to 12 September in the Cévennes.

Association Les Lendemains hosts the second Convention Internationale de Trapèze Volant, 7 to 12 September, at La Berline in Champclauson, La Grand-Combe. The first edition in 2024 drew more than 130 flying trapeze artists from Europe and beyond.

The programme goes past flying trapeze itself: swinging chair, aerial cradle, Korean cradle, bar-to-bar, carousel, and Frame B structures. That range is the detail that tells an aerialist whether this is actually for them.

Partners include Les Philébulistes, Les Siamangs, CIAM and ENACR. Compagnie Zali presents Tría on 12 September as the edition's flagship show.

Flying trapeze is a French invention. Jules Léotard performed the first act in 1859, which puts the discipline at roughly 160 years old in France. It took until 2024 for that history to get its own dedicated convention.

They need volunteers too: setup runs 2 to 6 September, breakdown on 13 September. Registration is through HelloAsso, or by writing to convention@leslendemains.fr.
