A converted fire truck is touring a circus show through Montréal for CAM's 70th anniversary

A red fire truck rebuilt into a mobile stage, the Camion d'intervention artistique, is touring Montréal this year as part of the Conseil des arts de Montréal's 70th-anniversary programming.

Compagnie Bazar Création performs the travelling circus show from the truck, produced with the Maisons de la culture and ADICIM, under the "CAM en tournée" banner. CAM describes it as a special deployment of 16 performances across the city's boroughs, free to attend — framed specifically as the council's own gift to the city for its 70th anniversary, rather than a one-off show booking.

A capsule was filmed during its stop in Ahuntsic-Cartierville, one of the boroughs on the route. For companies without guaranteed access to a fixed venue, a production like this is worth watching less for the truck itself than for what it represents: a full touring format built entirely around not needing one.

No further tour dates have been confirmed yet, so for now this is one to watch rather than one to plan around.
